Nikon D5000 (with 18-55mm lens) Digital camera rev
February 262010
After the much hyped D60 and D40, Nikon has lastly decided to release D5000. This be capable of be attributed to the growing popularity of DSLR and as manifested by the recent boom of manufacturers releasing either bulked-up or stripped-down products to make sure that they will not lose their market. This shift has not been that popular though as it created confusion among consumers Unlike the D5000, the D40 and D60 models do not have an autofocusing motor features which made the previous models much less complicated but less expensive This move gave consumers the option to acquire a less fancy camera with an acceptable price or a cutting-e.g. product which is very expensive
Nikon has decided to create a product that could contain what the previous models lacked but below the likes of D90. The D5000 then is a crossbreed between the D60 and the D90 models. The D500 has the imaging assembly capabilities, AF module Live View and HD video recording features of the D90 It also has the info panel-based navigation of the D60. The D5000 then is larger than the D60 but less fancy than the D90.
