How can I stick with a diet plan that works for me when so much good food is around?

This is the hardest thing to do and is the biggest reason that diets fail, you can’t enjoy your favorites. It takes a lot of restraint. As most people know, the first 2 weeks of a diet is the hardest part. Once past this, it becomes much easier.

My recommendation is to eat at home or prepare your meals during this time. It will allow you to get on the right start. After the 2 weeks are up, you will have a much better chance of success.

Lastly, a lot of diets today call for a "free day". The "free day" is a day where you can eat whatever you want. 6 days of diet and exercise, 1 day of anything. What this does is allow you to enjoy those foods you like so much. It gives you something to look forward to and not completely derprive yourself of those great foods.

Which diet plan would give me better results?

Diet Plan 1:
1200 calories everyday, of all healthy whole foods.

Diet Plan 2:
mon: 1200, tues: 1400, wed: 1500, thurs: 100, fri: 1200, sat: 1000, sun: 1500.

keep in mind I do cardio 6 days a week for an hour, and machine weights 5 days a week for 1/2 hour. and I am trying to lose 10 pounds.
sorry i meant thurs: 1000

100!?!? yeah i was gonna say… 2 sounds better. why don’t you just aim between 1200 – 1400 a day???

I am going to start twirling baton again. I need to lose some weight (I admit quite a bit) but I know I’m not going to do it over 1 month or even two. That would be unreasonable. However, my problem isn’t working out, it’s finding food that’s healthy. Also, do you guys have any tips for becoming more flexible?

I’ll give you something tasty! I think it tastes like a McDonalds chicken sandwich:

Ingredients:

6 slices oscar meyer smoked turkey breast
1 of those pita bread things (in walmart 100% whole wheat and 100 cal each)
Some ketchup
lettuce

What to do:

spray a skillet with nonstick cook spray and brown the turkey until desired darkenss. Toast the pita things. Put ketchup on bottom and top of bread and apply lots of lettuce to ketchup. Add the turkey, maybe sprinkle some grated parmesan cheese for flavor, and voila!

I swear this is my alltime fave sammy!

You can also do this with eggs:
1/2 c egg beaters or 3 egg whites
garlic pwdr
onion pwdr
onion flakes
parsely
grated parmesan
ketchup

mix egg and spices. Spray skillet and cook egg so that it is connected. before taking out, sprinkle parmesan ontion top and flip the egg over. let it there for a few seconds to brown the cheese.

put some ketchup on a toasted bread thing, add the egg, and enjoy!

You can also try one of my faves!
1 c skim milk heated in micro for 2 min
add 2 T ovaltine (not the malt mix)

THis is the best tasting cocoa ever! And only 2T ovaltine has 40 cal! Compared to swiss miss of 150!

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

Basically 2 years ago I tried to start eating healthily- but ended up losing loads of weight.
Does anyone have a really healthy diet plan (not weight loss) where I get my 2000 cals a day.
I know eating crap is really bad for me (I also take no exercise) – but I don’t want to lose weight again because people thought I was anorexic!

Okay for breakfast I suggest 1 cup of non-fat yogurt (100 cals)
2/3 a cup of granola (300 cals)
And a chopped banana (aprox 107 cals)
It makes a tasty breakfast parfait!
Snack – nature valley bar (120-180 cals)
Lunch – your choice, make it about 500 calories.
Snack – pear, apple, plum or orange. (50-100 cals) or 20 peanuts or 6 walnuts or 20 cashews.
Supper – your choice, just make it between 500-600 cals.
dessert – optional.

ok. i really need to lose around 5-15 pounds. It’s summer here in the philippines and i just want to look great for the summer. I need a great diet plan that can help me lose weight. Here’s the thing, I don’t eat vegetables. I eat meat, chicken and pork. So yeah, it’s kinda hard. Please help me.

If your looking to lose weight healthy here are steps you can do:

Breakfast: whole grain cereals, toast (whole grain bread), fruit, multivitamins and minerals (great for overall health) and 2 glasses of water.

coffee breaks: fruit, vegetables, protein snacks, herbal tea (great for energy and weightloss) and 1 glass of water. (if your a coffee drinker cut down to 2 a day).

Lunch: soup is always good nutrition, sandwich made with whole grain bread stacked high with greens and your choice of lean meat. Grilled cheese is good too. Don’t forget fruit. 2 glasses of water. Multivitamins and minerals.

coffee breaks: fruit, vegetables, protein snacks, herbal tea (great for energy and weightloss) and 1 glass of water. (if your a coffee drinker cut down to 2 a day).

Dinner: a regular meal just cutting a bit and adding fruits and vegetables, multivitamins and minerals (great for overall health) and 2 glasses of water.

IMPORTANT: Never skip a meal, snack more often with healthier choices(fruits, vegetables, protein snacks). You would be amazed how great you feel once your body gets the vitamins and minerals, nutrition and exercise.
