Im trying to lose about 10 pounds.
What should i be eating everyday? Im not really sure whats healthy.
Usually i don’t have enough time for breakfast, but if i was to eat a yogurt or something would that be healthier ? Lunch i go to school so i get sometime from the cafeteria, or go out to eat. What are good healthy lunch ideas? And supper is usually just a basic, meat vegetables kinda thing.
What would be a good eating plan ?
10 pts if you list more then one food i can eat for that meal because i want to extend this diet for awhile, without eating the same thing everyday !
If it helps im 5′3 and 140 pounds.
and im 17
Good luck!! Here are some ideas for meals:
Breakfast:
40g granola, 100g non-fat greek yogurt, 1 tbsp maple syrup and 1 cup bluberries
1 egg + 1 egg white scramble with mixed vegetables and a piece of wholegrain toast with 1 tsp vegan margarine
2 slices wholegrain toast with 2 tbsp peanut or almond butter. 1 cup fat-free green yogurt on the side with strawberries.
1/2 cup oats with 1.5 cups water – make oatmeal. Top with 1 tbsp peanut butter, 1 tbsp maple syrup and 1 chopped banana
Green smoothie with: 2 cups spinach, 1 cup rice or almond milk, 1 frozen banana – blend until smooth. You won’t be able to taste the spinach, trust me: I drink these every day and they’re the reason I feel amazing!
Lunch and dinner ideas:
Mary’s Organic Crackers with 1/4 cup plain hummus and 1 cup Amy’s chunky tomato bisque
A green salad with mixed veggies, goat cheese, homemade salad dressing {1 tbsp olive oil, 3 tbsp vinegar of your choice, 1/2 tsp mustard powder, 1 garlic clove – crushed} with a veggie burger on the side
A sandwich with: 2 slices wholegrain bread, lettuce, tomato, avocado, hummus and a bag of baked tortilla chips with salsa
‘Tacos’ with two taco shells filled with chickpeas {baked with taco seasoning}, lettuce, guacamole, salsa and chopped bell peppers
Homemade baked beans [recipe here: http://eatliverun.com/breakfast-recipes/homemade-baked-beans/] with wholegrain bread and a side green salad with mixed veggies and homemade dressing
Tortilla ‘pizza’ with one tortilla topped with pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella, mixed vegetables, chickpeas and served with a side salad
Lentil casserole, with lentils, water, a can of chopped tomatoes, curry paste, chopped potatoes and mixed vegetables. Cook until lentils are done and the casserole isn’t too watery.
Hope this helps!! My advice to you {this is what has worked for me} is get plenty of good fat, good protein and good grains in your diet. Leave out meat, dairy and other junk because it doesn’t contribute to weight loss and just tires out your body. Try to fill up on vegetables and fruit and make your meals really fun and interesting.
Search out recipe websites and try your hand at making new things.
As for exercise – don’t kill yourself. 30 minutes of walking a day, plus doing power yoga 3-5 times a week and lifting light weights is all you need to get toned and trim!
Good luck
